I’m trying to get to the bottom of a long-standing Thunkable layout issue where screens either clip on some android devices or leave dead space on others, even when using responsive layouts.
I’ve built a very small test app that helps collect real device data so we can finally see what’s going on across different screen sizes, aspect ratios, and system UI setups.
What you need to do:

Download the APK

Open the app
-
Adjust the layout until it fits your screen perfectly.

Share the results
The whole thing takes less than 30 seconds.
When you’re done, you can:

Email the results to me directly from the app
or

Copy them to your clipboard and paste them here in the forum
All Android devices are useful, and tablets would be especially helpful if anyone has one to hand.
Once we’ve got enough test cases, I’ll post a full breakdown of the results and the conclusions so everyone can benefit from it. We should be able to create a working scaling formula which you can apply to your projects to ensure layouts display beautifully.
