Creating a log in page where we have to provide the password

Hi there, we are currently trying to make app where we provide users with their password. That means they cannot log in unless we provide a temp password, which then allows then to set their own password. This allows us control who is able to enter the app. So far I have read alot about sign in using email and password, but we would like to make ours private for customers and empolyees
