What does 'AdMob Settings' do on the App Settings tab?

Hi there,

I can see this option on the App Settings tab, but didn’t find any information about this in the docs.

What does this section do? Should I enter the details here?

You have to be a PRO user to join admob. Once you register your published app to AdMob they will start displaying ads on your app and they keep track of usage, clicks and opens. If your user buys something thru an ad they saw while using your app, you get rewarded for it.

Yes I know that, but to use AdMob you don’t have to enter app id, don’t you?

You will need to use the supplied AppID from AdMob for both iOS and Android.

I didn’t enter those id’s in my project, but the ads in it do work without that.

The ad will show but are you collecting any hits?
AdMob will credit your account if you add the App ID. If not, you are giving it away for free.

AdMob: Android and iOS App IDs

If you are publishing your app for Android, and you serve ads with AdMob in your app, you will need to enter an Android App ID from AdMob.

If you are publishing your app for iOS, and you serve ads with AdMob in your app, you will need to enter an iOS App ID from AdMob.
