Hi,

I am in the midst of publishing my App and it requires Closed Testing to be performed and I find it time-consuming as it needs 20 testers to opt-in consecutively for 14 days to go to the production stage. Is this a compulsory step? Any other ways?

@radikasubramaniam57 This is a requirement for all new Play Store accounts as set by Google. Unfortunately, it is required with no way to circumvent the private testing.

i see. is that only COMPULSORY for new developer accounts? or is it one of the requirements for all app publishing in playstore?

From the article above, “Developers with personal accounts created after November 13, 2023, will need to test their apps before those apps are eligible to be published for distribution on Google Play.”
