The leaderboard has now been released! Information about the leaderboard will be below as well as future plans for it, but everything is subject to change.
HOW TO VIEW THE LEADERBOARD
You can view the leaderboard at anytime but pressing “leaderboard” in the top right menu. Image below for reference.
SCORING
As the leaderboard goes on, there might be a few changes to how the scores are calculated, but for the first version, the following will be some of the main ways to earn points.
- Daily Visits
- Giving and Receiving Likes
- Having your answer marked as the solution
- Reading posts
In the future, there might be other ways to obtain more cheers. Some potential ideas might be app challenges or a question bounty board. If you have any other ideas, I’d love to hear it.
SEASONS
The leaderboard season will be quarterly for now. This means the leaderboard will reset every few months following the fiscal quarter.
- January, February, and March (Q1/S1)
- April, May, and June (Q2/S2)
- July, August, and September (Q3/S3)
- October, November, and December (Q4/S4)
REWARDS
As mentioned in our previous posts, we want to reward the users in our community who make it great. The leaderboard is one way that I want to do that. While there are no rewards tied to the leaderboard at the moment, here are how the rewards will work in the future.

At the start of the season, I will make a post announcing that the season has started. In addition, I’ll also announce what the rewards will be for being in the top X (number to be determined later) of the leaderboard. The rewards every season will be subject to change. This means that there might be different rewards every season. One season might be free merch, while another might be something else entirely.

At the end of the season, I will make another post announcing the end and look at the top X of the leaderboard.
RULES
The main rule for the leaderboard and rewards is to be fair and honest. The leaderboard is meant to be for fun and so are the rewards too. If someone answers your question in your post, please mark it as the solution. Please don’t “farm” cheers. If you try to cheat or exploit the system, we will remove you from the leaderboard, and won’t get the rewards either.
FUTURE PLANS
I want to keep rewards (for the leaderboard) going for as long as there is continued community support. Unique badges and flairs, free merch, and 1-on-1 office hours are just some potential ideas for rewards. However, since I’m running this on my own as a “beta test”, if it doesn’t seem like (after a season or two) community users aren’t interested, then the rewards associated with the leaderboard might come to an end at some point.
But, I believe the Leaderboard on its own can remain indefinitely. There could be multiple leaderboards in the future if the global leaderboard does well. For now, it is a “Global Leaderboard” meaning that you can get cheers from anywhere. There could be a leaderboard specifically for templates, designs, etc.
