It’s with sad regret that for this project and possibly others I have in mind, Thunkable has ruined a long term user from progressing. yes I am using the Free version but i was using this way before the plan changes came in effect. Now suddenly I am cut off from my project which had the same amount of screens for a while now but along comes Thunkable with its new rules and makes the whole project read only because now I have exceeded my plans limits!!
It is sad that it has come to this and due to these restrictions I have had to source alternative platforms to work on my projects . One that I am using allows me to handle my JSON data much better too.
I am not saying goodbye forever that I hope as I used thunkable from almost its starting point (I had another account for it which I had to stop because I had to lose the email address that I had then)
However, I think if Thunkable wants to attract new and existing users please stop with these limitations to force users to pay for a plan it will put people off like me. I have limited funds as it is and cannot justify the costs at this stage.
So for now I will be moving forward to other platforms for now.
Goodbye for now everyone!

I hope you’ll find a way back to Thunkable but it’s not unreasonable for a business to charge for their products. It’s a hard change for us users for sure.

Gotta agree with you. I have the same issue. It’s worse on how they didn’t send an email days in advance. Then, I would’ve knew what to do about them. Now they’re all read-only. Besides, THREE per account? THREE projects? Only? I don’t know how to explain it, it’s common sense to not have that much. I am a developer who doesn’t even have a credit card yet. And what if there’s this 12 year old who wants to be like those developers? It definitely is unreasonable to allow a very little amount of projects all of the sudden without the notice to back up and modify the apps!
It’s also sad since Thunkable for so long is such a reliable tool for me, and I’ve still been making a work-in-progress app. I guess they might be money hungry upon the Free users who use Thunkable.
But, I have a question: how do I “share” meaning transfer a project to a different account? I NEED 5 of my 10 projects, that I would probably delete, and it’s 2 over. I will use two accounts for that, and just pray that they don’t do something like… I can’t tell you, the Thunkable company will be inspired by me and implement that change I’m praying not to happen! I want to be able to edit and see the components of the project on the other account. So, can you transfer a project to second account? If not, I might have to get involved with the Thunkable company.
If the post doesn’t belong in this thread, since it might be an entirely new topic, I apologize, and I will put this in a new thread.
@tatiang yes business has to make money that i agree but to rescrit long term users to be able to test their ideas and for it to suddenly throw the limitation at me now when I had been working on this project for a while is unreasonable - I do also find the handingly of JSON data (which is very common with API calls) to be difficult to manage - other low code non code platforms have built it JSON API components and even preview windows to show the JSON data being received.
I was drawn to this language because I used the MIT app inventor before with the same block language but now I feel Thunkable is not looking after its long term users or even new commers either.
Still there may always be a time where I will return but it uncertain when at the moment.
@afnanfozailcw81 Totally agree with what you have said here

I agree that this should be a built-in feature.
