I’ve been experience a problem with some phones where using the camera causes the app to crash. The simplest example is this:
https://x.thunkable.com/copy/da4e07633d9a8570967ed0558d968fa0
It crashes on some Android phones (Galaxy S21 with Android 13 and LGK20 with Android 10) but not others (Google Pixel 7 with Android 14). Older builds worked on all the phones but I started seeing the problem in the past few months. Is Android 14 the minimum version for the camera component or is it something with the hardware?
Hi @KaneoheKid, this all seems to be working fine on my device which is still running Android 12. Does the crash occur with the Thunkable Live app or a downloaded apk/published app?
It crashes with both the Live and downloaded or published apps on those devices. I did try an old Sony Experia running Andorid 9, Techno CH6n using Android 12 and LG K40 on Android 10 (works fine on each). So I agree, it is not not the Android version. ??
Hello @KaneoheKid
We apologize for the inconvenience!
Could you please test the following DnD project with the devices that are still having the issue?

I tried the DnD on the Galaxy S21 and it still crashed. The camera opens OK, takes the photo, I press OK and it immediately crashes every time.
Hello @KaneoheKid
Thank you for testing it. Could you please share the Android version that it has?
How did you test it? Have you downloaded the app?
Phone details:
Galaxy S21 FE 5g
Model SMG990U2
UI Version 5.1
Android Version 13
System Updated 3/1/24
I’ve tested it by downloading and installing the APK (or for published apps, from the Playstore), but it crashes when on the companion also. With (at least) this phone, it happens for all of my apps which use the photo blocks.
