Hello all
Do you know if the engineering department sent any response on this issue?
Thank you
Hi Raul, thanks for working with us on email! We are working through it at the moment.
Hello Cassandra
I hope you are good
Do you know what is the issue status?
Hello all
Can you help me with this issue please?
I have had this error in the android publish of the app since August 9 and I have users using it.
I know it’s an individual problem but I really need your help. I’m not going to rule out the app. I already paid for a month with this error and now I will have to pay again? Or if you can honestly tell me if I need to pay another level account so that the problem can be solved?
Hello again
@cassandra @jared @domhnallohanlon
Can you help me with this issue or respond my messages, please?
More than a month with this issue.
Thank you
To make it known here: I don’t work for Thunkable anymore. I’ve taken a position with a different kind of company built on nocode.
One thing you can try is remixing the app and publish that version. It’s just a shot in the dark but the remix process remakes an app with all new components. I wonder if it will help.
@ingraulbarbosa70a are you initializing or using variables on the first screen of your app?
I can confirm this trick helped me a couple of times but for this specific case, I asked @ingraulbarbosa70a to share his project and I remixed it and produced APK and AAB but the issue persisted.
Hello Jared
Thank you for your answer, I wish you much success in your new position!
Hello Munner
I hope you are good.
One question, it’s possible change the .apk to .abb file?
Thank you
I’m not sure if this will work for you but I use the first one in the image for APK compiled by Flutter Lab and it works for me. I never tried Thunkable APKs
Hi Munner
I tried to change the .apk to .abb with the first app and as results i have a error with ID bundle:
In this case, how can I solve it?
If any of @Thunkable_Staff could reply and let us know if the APK produced from the platform is signed or debug then you can have the answer right away.
Alternatively, if you have Android Studio installed then you can run the following command from the terminal
$ /Applications/Android\ Studio.app/Contents/jre/Contents/Home/bin/keytool -printcert -jarfile **your-app**.apk
If you get
Not a signed jar file then this is the problem.
I believe my previous comment was not clear so I want to explain further.
In Android, developers can leave the APK or AAB unsigned or signed as debug which will allow them to test the app by directly installing it to the device but an unsigned
app will not be accepted if published to the store.
To sign an app or a bundle you need to first create a keystore file and then use a utility like apk signer to add signature to the app or bundle. This utility is available in the Android Studio
package when installed. The most common one is jarsigner.
See this Google link for more info.
Hello @cassandra @domhnallohanlon
Are you so kind to tell us if the developers were able to continue working on this issue?
I have not been successful with your responses through mail and the community.
Thank you
Hi @ingraulbarbosa70a - apologies for our delay here. Let’s continue on our email thread!
Hello Cassandra
I hope you are good
I send this e-mail
Thank you for your notice, I tried to erase the video, but today my pro-account was expired. One question, Do I need to pay another month?
I had the issue on the 9th, and I paid with this on the 10th of August and now this month too?
Are you so kind to help me with this issue too, please?
Thank you!
@cassandra FYI
Hello Munner
I hope you are good
Do you have any documentation about that how can i built .aab since .apk?
I tried but for me it is a bit difficult. I saw some tutorials on youtube but the build bundle option does not appear to me. I downloaded the Java and the bundletool.jar but I don’t know where to load it (see image below).
On the other hand I download the .keystore file but it only lets me load .jks files:
Thank you!
