Adding Date Input to screen with Data Viewer List causes project problems

I reported this bug last week. Is there a fix yet?

When I add a Date Input to the Design tab of a screen that has a Data Viewer List, two things happen:

  1. The Date Input component is immediately deleted.
  2. The Data Viewer List layout is modified to include the current date. Selecting the same layout again resolves this. But this repeats if you add a Date Input again in step 1.

Same, and after it disappears I cant use the same name again.

I am having to add it to a new empty screen and then move it through the tree.

@tatiang Is this a custom data viewer you are using?

Yes, a custom DVL layout.

Thanks for confirming. This is a tough issue to get isolated and fix. The gist of it is that the custom data viewers are build with a Layout component. There are issues when a Layout is added to a Layout. We can replicate the issue easily enough but a fix looks tough. We’ll keep you updated.
