Custom Dataviewer to-do list Issue

I read the documentation on how to make a custom dataviewer layout and I am attempting to make a custom “to-do list layout” with check box’s and text inputs (instead of labels so user can edit the to do list item)

This is my problem: when I click one to do list checkbox all the other to do’s get checked as well in the dataviewer.

You can NOT have input fields on a data viewer. See the RED box in the doc here:
