Would you want native code access for personal local projects in thunkable?

Hello everyone

Im feeling a little bored and started to thunker a bit what if thunkable websites would get access to native device code(aka being able to access the device wallpaper or bluetooth properties and functions)

This means that you can interact with your device using thunkable with the only 2 catches being:

  1. You’ll need to install and run, a local api that communicates back and forth between thunkable and your device.
  2. You can only use this for personal projects and not consumer based projects(projects that people other than you would install)

Regardless of these issues i’m really curious to what you, the thunkable community want, do you want access to device native code for personal projects (for people who don’t have much coding experience but still want to do cool stuff locally with their pc’s) or you don’t need that.

Let me know what you think!

Ps: im not entirely sure if this is the right channel to ask it in, so please change the channel if i put it in the wrong one

Cheers <3

It seems like you’re in the right channel, and I guess it could go under Feature Requests…

This seems like a really good idea, but when would this exactly come in handy?

Well i know that some people are wanting to do more with Thunkable on their devices, and in general thus can be done for all use cases so there is no specific one apart from one wich is it must be locally available.

The only time it would come in handy is for personal projects where non programmers want to do special stuff on their devices such as create their own wallpaper app for example
