Thunkable is based on the App Inventor project, which began at Google Research and MIT (as of 2010). It was founded in 2015 by Arun Saigal and WeiHua Li. Before, there was only one version, the "classic" version.
Later, Thunkable X was made, a successor to Thunkable Classic.

In 2018, it was said that people can use a custom branding on how their logo looks like in a phone's home screen and when the app is loading, with PRO, a paid plan.

In 2019, Thunkable Classic was said that it is retiring and people cannot sign up to Thunkable Classic. But people who signed up before still can use Thunkable Classic.

In 2020 to now, Thunkable Classic was no longer able to use, completely retiring Classic. Earlier in 2020, Thunkable said there was a new web app publication feature, for users with the paid plan PRO. It shows how a phone running the application in a webpage looks like. Later in 2020, specifically December, DnD replaced StP. It has a new user interface. But the documents for the new UI released later, in 2021.

Challenge accepted! I just added a bunch of details and submitted the draft for publication.

Reliable, secondary and good sources required, it’s declined.

Okay, so, are you making that decision? And if so, can you share what the issue was with my submission? I haven’t edited Wikipedia pages before and I felt that I provided good sources so I’d like to better understand.

Edit: okay, I see the comment now:

There are only two sources listed, one which is the official website and therefore not reliable, and Crunchbase, which is not a reliable source

Lol… I thought Thunkable was the best source of information about Thunkable. But I guess I’ll branch out.

I thought Thunkable was the best source of information about Thunkable

It would’t be suitable, for example; if I make a wiki page about vaccines and have a single website as the source that I created citing that they are all conspiracies, then that would not make a good source.

My advice; try to get at least 5 sources, ProductHunt would be a good one, as well as Capterra and anywhere else there have been articles like G2.com and TechCrunch.
Medium and YouTube (albeit opinions only) may also be sources when pointing to features or updates and news.

Yes, it makes sense that Thunkable can’t be the only source. Thanks for your help!

Can you find any other sources?

:warning: ALERT! :warning:
Unfortunately, the article has been deleted by a CheckUser. That is sad.
Some more info is that it was deleted because an admin thought I was a sockpuppet and blocked me indefinitely.
All is not lost! There’s an archive of wikitext! Although it does not show the current revision. But at least it isn’t gone.

Good news, it’s back! but not the english one: the simple one!

I still don’t really understand what happened with the Wikipedia page. It seems like the sources weren’t valid so the whole thing got removed. I’m always not clear on who did that; a Thunkable user? A random person?

Anyway, I’m happy to contribute again but don’t really want to put all that effort into it if it’s just going to disappear again.

okay…
also the article got restored. see the new link in the first post

Yes, the page is there, blank, but none of the content I wrote is. :man_shrugging:

There is, look closely at features.

I’m not sure what you mean. There isn’t a link for “features”:

Now available. See the new link.

This is awesome! Thank you @tatiang and @afnanfozailcw81 for your work on this. Can’t wait to see the finished project.

That’s brilliant! Thanks everyone for useful information and links :slightly_smiling_face:
