We have used thunkable in schools before to show how you can get the app to translate the user’s text input and say it out loud in another language. We tried it again recently and noticed that we cannot get any translations, we get the voice saying “Failed to fetch” in whatever accent we are trying to translate to.

The likely reason for this is that your school has blocked the site used when the blocks attempt to complete the translation. You’ll want to ask the school’s IT department to unblock http://translate.yandex.com/ and http://translate.yandex.net.
If you can get those unblocked, everything should work fine! Let us know if you run into any further issues.
