Rewarded Video Ad not showing in new Drag-and-Drop builder

Hello Thunkable Support Team,

I’m using the new Drag-and-Drop builder, and I’ve integrated a Rewarded Video AdMob component into my app called “laF’a yüR’ü (Rüya Fal)”.
The Ad Unit ID is correct (Rewarded type), and Test Mode is ON. However, when I click the “Watch Ad” button, the button becomes disabled, but no ad appears — neither in Thunkable Live nor in the installed APK (built with Test Mode ON).

Here are the details:

Builder: New Drag-and-Drop version

Platform: Android

Component: AdMob Rewarded Video

Ad Unit ID: ca-app-pub-1373870939847481/5871174395

Test Mode: Enabled

Behavior: Button becomes disabled after clicking, but ad window never appears

Blocks used:

When Button Click → call AdMob Rewarded Video Show

When AdMob Rewarded Video RewardUser → increase user credit

No “Load Ad” block available in this version

Could you please check if there is a current issue with Rewarded Video Ads on the new builder, or if an additional event (like AdLoaded) or setup step is required?

I would be happy to share my project link or screenshots if needed.
Thank you very much for your help!

Best regards,

Hi @ercanylcn7261p6qu
We were able to replicate the issue and have flagged it to our engineering team.

Will provide an update as soon as possible.

As a workaround, you can use the testing AdUnitID: ca-app-pub-3940256099942544/5224354917

Hi ioannis,

Thank you very much for your quick and detailed response.
I truly appreciate your effort and the fact that the engineering team is already aware of the issue.

I’ll continue testing using the provided test Ad Unit ID for now, and I’ll be looking forward to the upcoming fix for Rewarded Video Ads in the new Drag-and-Drop builder.

Your support and clear communication are always greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for your time and assistance. :folded_hands:

Hi Ioannis,

Following up on the Rewarded Video Ad not loading in the new Drag-and-Drop builder. Since the issue was replicated and reported to the engineering team, I was wondering if there’s any update or an estimated timeline for the fix.

Status: The test AdUnitID works fine, but the production AdUnitID still doesn’t load.
Impact: I’m currently in Android closed testing and also preparing the iOS version.

I’d be happy to provide logs, a project link, or test a specific build if needed.

Thanks a lot for your continued help and support! :folded_hands:

Hi @ercanylcn7261p6qu
Thanks for sharing an update.
If you have tested your app and ads work correctly for you, before you publish, please set your AdUnitIDs on the AdMob components and blocks. Then publish the app on Google Play and App Store.

Hi Ioannis,

I tested again today with the latest .apk build, using my real AdUnitID. Unfortunately, the Rewarded Video Ad still doesn’t load in the new Drag-and-Drop builder. The “Watch Ad” button becomes disabled, but no ad appears.

Could you please confirm if the fix has been deployed yet, or if the issue is still under investigation?

Thanks again for your continued support! :folded_hands:

Hi @ercanylcn7261p6qu
Thanks for sharing an update.
Real ads appear when testing the app with my keys.

Could you please check your App’s status on AdMob?

It needs to be “Ready” in order to see real ads.

More information about AdMob Status can be found here: About app readiness - Google AdMob Help

Hi Ioannis,

Thank you very much for your quick responses and detailed guidance throughout this process. Your explanations about the AdMob “App readiness” status were really helpful — now I fully understand what was missing.

I’ll upload the .aab build to Google Play and link the app to AdMob as you suggested. Hopefully, this will finally make the Rewarded Video Ads work properly.

I really appreciate your time, patience, and clear communication. Thanks again for your support! :folded_hands:
