Hello everyone! I’m trying to use OpenAi for my thunkable project and i’ve used the right API key and blocks but it still says undefined. I’ve looked it up and it says i might need to pay but i’m not sure if this is accurate. Can someone please help me fix this issue for it not to he undefined ASAP
Hi and welcome to Thunkable! Any time you need help here, you’ll need to be sure and share a screenshot of your blocks or a link to your project. Without those, it’s a little like going to a mechanic and saying “the car makes a funny noise when I’m driving” but then not giving the car to the mechanic to look at.
Hi again! Sorry I’m still new at this but here’s the screenshot of my blocks. I pasted the same api link into the service section as well so is there any other issue on why it’s saying it is undefined?
I tried this with a valid API key (and did not fill in the settings panel at all) and got a valid response related to the prompt “dragons”:
So there must be something else you’re doing with API Request Settings or the prompt itself that’s causing an “undefined” response.
Hi @aperpignan28pp67sw , welcome to Thunkable!
OpenAI no longer provides Free Trial credits. An OpenAI paid account is required to make API calls. Please see OpenAI pricing: https://openai.com/api/pricing/

Thank you so much! I tried the new block set up and now it says I’ve exceeded the limit which means it does work but I do have to pay which is what you said. So when I’m publishing the app when other people use it am I technically paying for them? Is there a way to get a one time fee? The paying method is pretty confusing to me
