Notch/Dynamic Island buffer zone

HIII
How many pixels in thunkable should my buffer be on the top for the notch and dynamic island on ios?
What about on the bottom where you swipe up to go to the home screen. How many pixels should that buffer be?

Anyone know? Please answer!

Typically you will not have to account for buffer zones. The buffer zones are typically built in already in the app for the notches and islands. The app’s height will be set to be right below the notch or island.

That’s great.
What about on the bottom of the screen for IOS and Android? I know IOS has the little bar at the bottom to swipe up to the Home Screen and putting components there would probably be bad and hard to click bc the bar gets in its way

If they have the swipe-up bar, then if they were to swipe up, the bar will cover the app for a small period of time and then go back down. I do not believe that it is best to have a buffer zone for that, but you can if you want. I believe it might be around 200 px.

Wait so what is the ignore notch area switch thing in the settings?

That above makes your app fill the entire screen on an iPhone X or above if you switch it on, but if you turn it on, it may result in some parts of your app on the top being blocked by the notch or the Dynamic Island. You will need to manually program your app to not make stuff blocked by the notch. Otherwise, if you switch it off, Thunkable will automatically set a buffer zone in the place of the notch or dynamic island to avoid contents from being underlapped.
