Well, I just came across the Thunkable website and brand via the “Netted by the Webbys” newsletter I receive and am interested in using your app. I signed in with my Google credentials and then remained on the same static page with nowhere to go from there. I navigated separately to the FAQs page where I found a “Sing Up” button and proceeded to create my account and have successfully logged in (see? I’m typing this online right now, cool huh?).
My question is: what does the website have to do with the app installed on your phone? The landing page doesn’t change. However, I’m guessing that the account I created and am logged into now (separate from the landing page it initially brought me to) is for community, ideas, sharing, help, and support, correct?
If someone could better explain this to me I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance for any assistance offered.

Is this correct? What should I be doing next? Please advise, and thanks in advance for helping a new user.
Check out the Thunkable YouTube channel, there are lots of great videos for getting started:
A very good way to learn App Inventor is to read the free Inventor’s Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook App Inventor 2 Book: Create Your Own Android Apps … the links are at the bottom of the Web page. The book ‘teaches’ users how to program with AI2 blocks.
There is a free programming course here Course In A Box and the aia files for the projects in the book are here: App Inventor 2 Book: Create Your Own Android Apps
How to do a lot of basic things with App Inventor are described here: How do you...? .
The page the the link in my email initially brought me to:
Then I clicked the Get Started button. Intially, because I have ad and page element blockers in Chrome I didn’t see a way to continue so I loaded the same page in IE and then saw the Connect with Google button (which I clicked and proceeded through the initial log in).
That was all. If the Login link at the top is the same as I was describing with accessing it through the FAQs then all is well.
I just didn’t know if something more was supposed to happen on a post-login-for-first-time-users webpage, like a welcome banner or tutorial or intro via YouTube as you mentioned.
Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate the promptness and additional info.
For the First two sites you have to use your google account to log in. Whereas for the third site you have the choice to log in using your own valid email or password or you can also use your google account
Also,
The apps your talking about are used for live testing your created projects on Thunkable platform and have to be downloaded from playstore.
Along with the tutorial suggested by @Taifun in the reply above, have a look at Thunkable docs provided on the link below to know more about these platforms.
