Is this Community dying? (I hope not)

I am looking at the new posts for the last few weeks and they have barely gotten any responses. There was a time when questions used to get answered quite quickly either by other Thunkers or the Admins.

Now, not so much.

What’s going on with this community?

Hello Steve, i used to be very active in this community in the past - to be honest i moved to more complex projects where i started to code, but i’m still reading even tough not partecipating much.

I am always wishing the best to Thunkable community, it helped me so much through my gold years

I’ve posted 4 topics in the last week and they have had few views and fewer responses.

Hi @steve_synopsis - I appreciate your concern as we are working to reinvigorate our Thunkable communities. What would be helpful for you?

I want to make sure the direct voices of our community are integrated into our plan moving forward.

Hello Bryce,

Responses from the Thunkable team at least would be a start. I just looked back at the last set of questions that I posted, the oldest being 2 weeks ago and they have no responses - this is not encouraging. Even the views of posts in general are extremely low, which to me indicates an issue.

When I first started using Thunkable, responses would come in quick time and there would be usually some engagement by members of the community to assist even it was to ask the OP to clarify the question or issue.

I believe that Thunkable is a great platform for app development but without a strong community existing developers may start looking elsewhere and newbies might not even start.

Other platforms also host office hours where they answer a variety of answers from users. Updated documentation and videos would also help. Also, I know that like most platforms, the focus has been on AI assistants but Thunkable is still missing a lot of features (like device sensors, checkboxes, radio buttons, date picker, etc.) that have been available other app gens for years.

When I look at a new platform, the first thing I do is to check to see how vibrant the community is and this plays a large role in my decision as to whether I will invest my time. If I were a newcomer to Thunkable now, I believe that I would give it a pass.

Steve
