Google Map API key has pricing?

Hello Thunkers,

So I’m very new to app development here. I just made an app that uses location blocks and the Map component. I’ve been testing it and it seems to work. However, now I’m trying to download an apk of the app.

Thunkable is requesting for a Google maps API key, and I’ve been trying to make one. So far my main concern is whether the usage of the API in my app will cost money. Google maps website seems to say that some features will cost money.

So I’m hoping that anyone who has experience in using the API can tell me how the process goes and whether it cost anything.

I had the same problem: i wanted to have a list of different locations and i wanted them to be shown on the map.
I used the Google Maps API and i found out i had to pay too…

It was a long time ago to be fair, let me know if you find any walkarounds as i gave up (maybe too easily on that project)
