What access does/does not A.I.have to edit local data sources?

I am having trouble at the start of an A.I.-aided app getting data sources set up.
There is a large-ish main data source in a Google sheet, about 5000 records with 53 columns each.
The user will be creating new records with all the same columns.
First I asked the A.I. to make a local data source table with all the same contents as the Google sheet, providing the external link URL to the sheet. It made an empty table with the first few columns. [I did this for performance, to be sure that data was not being searched over the internet every time]
I deleted that table and properly linked the Google sheet into the project, worrying about performance later.
I asked the A.I. to make a new table with just the same columns as that linked Google sheet. it made an empty table, giving no errors.

The AI on X.thunkable can help with components and blocks, but it can’t read external site information or URLs.

It also isn’t meant to perform database actions like the ones you mentioned, as it’s primarily designed for components and blocks.

For a stronger AI coding experience, I would recommend trying ai.thunkable.com

I did jump over to the full a.i. tool at ai.thunkable.com.
I learned quickish* that it also has limitations on dealing with outside data sources, has a lot of general knowledge but knows very little about the box it’s locked in, and thinks I know more about how it organizes things than I do (so it does exactly what I ask, even when that breaks navigation…). Still it looks like a better option.

You have to be quite specific with outside data sources. We have a video on YouTube going through external/cloud databases. It covers the basics of adding a database connection.

Your tokens reset every month on the same date you signed up. So if you paid on May 15th, they refresh on June 15th. I also went ahead and topped you off with some tokens so you can keep building a little more in the meantime.

Also, I’m hosting office hours next Tuesday. If you want help with your project, feel free to sign up.
