Using BLE to connect two devices with the same app

Is it possible to have two devices, each with the same app on it, send data back and forth over BLE?
I have found something similar in the classic docs https://classic-docs.thunkable.com/thunkable-classic-android/create/components/internet-of-things/bluetooth-client-±server but thunkable x doesn’t seem to have the server.

Do you mean to connect the 2 devices directly?

I don’t think so, but i could be wrong.

I have recently purchased a few BLE (Arduino and ESP32) modules to begin playing and learning in this space.
