Linkedin API - OAuth access

Hello everyone,

I would love to use Linkedin API, however it requires the use of OAuth access. I had similar issues with Google Sheets API that kinda stopped me from going on.
My question is, will Thunkable be available to link to Linkedin using OAuth Access?

I had load of fun with API in the last few months, but always had trouble with OAuth, if you can point me to the right direction, it would be class

Thank you!

What i meant to say is that everytime there is an OAuth i look fot a different solution or walkaround, but i’d like to know if there is a way to learn it properly so i can apply it everywhere i need in the future.

This includes Linkedin, Google Sheets, Instagram, Amazon and so, even though i’m more than aware that they are all different platforms with different behaviors, but they all work on Oauth (if i’m not mistaken)

Thank you very much

Hi @maurizio.polverini89
Good suggestion!
Unfortunately, we don’t have this feature at the moment.
I converted your post to a feature request.

Is this for every OAuth access?

I mean, everywhere there is a OAuth access, Thunkable can’t “link” to it?

Let me know if it’s so and if there are some walkarounds!

Thank you very much!

Hello @maurizio.polverini89
At the moment, we provide OAuth connection and “Authorization Header” block only for Airtable.
It will need to have a similar feature for every external API you need to connect directly via OAuth.
As a workaround, have you looked at Zapier or Make as an intermediary for the API you want to call?

Yes, i had a look at Zapier - i use it already for a few things but i can’t rely on him too much.

Do you have any other walkaround i can look at, even if more “coding”?

Thank you for your time!

Hi @maurizio.polverini89
Probably there is no solution without using a third-party backend service. You can find many Zappier alternatives.
