Is it possible to activate the light

I did a quick search to see if anyone else might have posted, but did not find anything. In thunkable classic it was possible to access and activate the light on an android phone. Is this possible with thunkable cross platform? Thank you in advance.

Hi @Benjamin_Wagley, welcome to the Thunkable community. :+1:

At the moment this isn’t possible but I’ll add it to our list of feature requests. Can you tell us a little more about the type of app you are trying to build and how you would use the flashlight feature?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I made an app as a teaching tool to show how distracting cell phones can be in a classroom environment. Basically you set a timer for how often you want the distractions to occur (1-10 seconds). Then start the app and it will vibrate the phone and play an annoying sound as often as you set the timer. I wanted to also add the light as a visual distraction.

Interesting! As a work-around here, why not get the screen to flash instead? You could get it to go back and forth between black and white or you could have a list of colours…or…you could use random colours.

I appreciate, of course, that this requires that the app be open when the timer goes off.
