Honesty,dark background for your app is really aesthetic.However,not fully black ( #000000 ).That colour is very classic if it become your app background colour.
I would like to suggest #081b33 and combine light colour ( i.e #55efc4 ) .

Suggestion
We should make a e-book reader app, with books’ series like Harry Potter, etc. and give the option of Dark Mode reading for night readers like me 
We just need to figure out how to view pdf…
