What is mean by 25 downloads limits in Download and Publish features in builder subscription?
The program that I created can be downloaded only for 25 times in a month for distribution of the app that are not published in google/IOS market place? that too those distributed app works only till I have my active subscription with Thunkable. is it?
Not even single download is perpetual?
Is this limit applies for both builder and advanced subscription as well?
is this limit applies for published apps as well?
Hello @senthilkumaranms724i
This limit is for the number of times you can start a distribution download Android and Publish Android/iOS process through your Thunkable account per month.
Your app can be downloaded unlimited times when your plan is active.
All the details for all the plans are on our pricing page.
Let me know if you still have questions.
in the FAQ, about the testing and distribution downloads were explained. the lines that I marked in bold states that the distribution downloads are not perpetual. it will stop working as soon as my subscription expires. for example, If I subscribed for a year for the builder subscription, and I distributed few apps that I developed during the subscription period, which are not published in market places and these distributed apps stop working, if I pause my subscription next year. am I correct?
What is the difference between testing and distribution downloads?
A testing download is meant for you to test your app when it is installed on a device. These downloads will expire after 72 hours. A distribution download is meant to be circulated with your user outside of the app marketplaces and will not expire. As long as your paid subscription remains active, these apps will remain available for your end users.
25 downloads per month is the distribution downloads?
@senthilkumaranms724i That is correct. This is true for any distribution downloads or published apps on either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Thanks for the clarification. However, this is a significant limitation. It’s quite strange that the working functionality of an app project that are completed and distributed to the end user is dependent on the developer’s subscription.
I kindly request you to reconsider this limitation. Requiring an active subscription for further development or upgrades of the distributed app is acceptable. but the project that was completed and does not require any further development, why does it require active subscription?
Thanks for your understanding.
