App & Data source items not deleting

Hi There
Extremely untalented user but have got a long way into an app build successfully so far.
I have a Team screen like the YouTube examples (with no photos) and it all works fine. I can add new team members and Edit, however I have set up the Delete exactly per the YouTube Delete Data from a Data Source - I have a Delete button appearing on a right swipe but nothing happens in App or Data Source file (Google Sheets) when the button is clicked on my Android device. Testing on Web does not function as the right swipe returns instantly before the Delete button can be clicked.
Any ideas any one??
Cheers

Please review How to ask Great Questions v2.0. It’s important to include screenshots of your blocks and/or a link to your project. We can’t see how you’ve set things up so we have no idea how to help you without that.

Apologies - the screenshot is uploaded now.

Thanks

Hope that’s OK - its a Private Project

Hello @pafoxcharlieo
Thank you for sharing your project.
I was able to replicate the issue testing your project but I couldn’t replicate it on a different project.
It might be an issue with this specific list viewer.
Could you please delete it and add a new one?

Hello to you Ioannis
Thanks for taking a look at this for me.
I have deleted and rebuilt the Data Viewer on my workscreen and deleted and reinstalled it on the Team Screen. I am able to add new members and they are presenting immediately on the Google sheet Data Source.

Sad to say that it has made no difference to the Delete issue!

I have taken a screen shot of the Design and the Workscreen in case its me building it incorrectly - for this DV I have used a layout with three containers and loaded in the required labels to achieve the result on the Team Screen - I think its great but I could be doing it wrong!! Ignore all the other stuff on the workscreen (they all work by the way!!) - the DV in question has the Layout in red dash.

So grateful for your attention. Please pardon me if my replies are delayed - I am in New Zealand so in a different Time Zone

Cheers

I have just tested it with IOS and same outcome - adds a new member fine but will not delete!

Also Reloaded Thunkable App from Playstore on both devices.

Hello @pafoxcharlieo
Thank you for testing it and sharing more information
We were able to replicate the issue and have flagged it to our engineering team. We will keep you updated as soon as there is any progress.

Thanks - Good to know it wasn’t me!!

Hello @pafoxcharlieo
I created a new project and it works for me now on mobile: Thunkable

Could you please test it again?

Thanks Ioannis

I reloaded my live App, hard refresh on Thunkable and Data source but it still doesn’'t work for me! Very odd :frowning:

I will be away for 12 -13 hours and will see what else I can do at this end.

Thanks for your perseverance - much appreciated

Hi @pafoxcharlieo
Thank you for testing it.
I am not sure where is the issue. If it is on the data viewer list block or if it is on the data source “delete row” block.

Could you please move the block “delete row” inside of a “when button click” block?

And please “set a label” with the “row id” inside of the “data viewer list right swipe click” block

Then test it and let us know what is happening

Hi there

I have made the changes you suggested, as I understood them (correctly I hope) - see screen shot of ScreenTeam blocks as altered.

When the Right Swipe on my device was activated and the Delete button clicked the Team Members name changed to “Label”

No changes took effect in the DataSource

Thanks

I also tried to add a Delete button on my Team Member Edit screen and adding a delete row block but nothing happens - is this pointing to the Block being the issue?

HI @pafoxcharlieo
Thank you for testing it.
It seems that the issue is with the delete rew block.
Could you please add the following blocks to a button?

Set the row id to 1 and the error into a label

Please let us know what is happening when you test it

OK - I have done that and there was no change to the label text which I assume should have gone to “error” - am I correct?

Nothing changed in the DataSouce either :frowning:

Its after 11pm so will log on in 8 hours or so and tomorrow evening. Thanks again for your efforts to resolve this for me and anyone else who may be observing!!

Cheers

Hello @pafoxcharlieo
Yes, I can see an error on the console log.
We have flagged it to our engineering team.
Please don’t delete the button and the blocks from your project so they can test it.

Thank you so much.

I will leave that area of the App as it is now and standby for further info from you.

This has been very informative for me and I appreciate the attention I have received thus far.

Hi Ioannis

Has there been any progress with this issue?

Hello @pafoxcharlieo
The engineers are working on it.
Please don’t delete the button.
I will share an update soon.
Thanks for your patience.
