Where is wifi component

Thunkable apps don’t have access to wifi connections , only Bluetooth or internet.

Is wifi the only way to connect? If so, you will need to use a different app builder to connect most likely.

well do you need it to check that does the device is connected or not if yes then you can do it

bluetooth does not pass through walls like wifi. the scope is not the same. my esp32 is in a box outside the house, the information must go through the wall and must be available throughout the house. I had done the bluetooth test and it was very limited I found. I asked taifun to create the access point option and it works perfectly with that. The advantage over the internet is that it works even if there is no network / box in the house. It’s completely independent.

@Eric_P Again, it sounds like you may want to use a different app builder that allows access to wifi connections. If Bluetooth is an option, thubkable might be the right choice!

@eko.devs.apploroceo, please stop being rude. I’m sure he read your post and if it was relevant would have gotten back with you. Using web apis doesn’t solve this persons issue. If it did, you are by no means explaining why or how. You’re just being rude. It’s so frequent that I can’t not say anything. Please, chill out with your frequent pushy posting

I am still thinking about the bluetooth option but for the moment I have left with wifi. I don’t have a high level in programming (esp32 and even in drag and drop on thunkable) but I had managed to get something coherent and functional. An app that always works! I just wanted to reshape it. It’s just a shame that there is no longer this option in thunkable and also the extensions.
Thank you anyway

It is a bummer. Maybe this will be brought back in the future!

If you need any help with the Bluetooth calls, do come back and post more questions! Happy Thunking!!
