[Solved] Using the Location Sensor in the new UI

Over on YouTube, Joicy Johnny asks:

The block in question is shown in this 2019 video which uses our legacy UI:

To do this with the new drag and drop UI, everything you need is in the blocks section:

  1. Open the blocks editor
  2. Click the + icon beside Sensors
  3. Choose the Location Sensor and click Add

You can stick with the sensor defaults in the next modal:

After you click Submit you will have “Location_Sensor1” in your project:

Hope that helps!

When I press + against sensors in DND nothing happens. The screen just goes white.

Yeah can someone else confirm if the + against sensor works for them, it does nothing for me, tested now on multiple machines, with multiple browsers.

I opened an existing DnD project and clicked the + next to sensors:

…and I can confirm that the screen goes white. If I hard refresh the tab after that, the project blocks show up again but no components have been added.

I would recommend submitting a bug report.

Hi @drenton72k4 and @tatiang,

The new behavior you guys observed should be resolved now.

Can you both open your projects again and let me know if you can add sensors and AdMob components now?

Thanks for reporting!
