ElevenLabs TTS Posting, Web API

Questions about Thunkable Web API's

Hi All!

I have been trying to call Elevenlabs’ web API to do a text-to-speech thing. But it seems like I am constantly getting an “undefined/null” response. I saw that Drag and Drog doesn’t support playing the audio, so I recreated the blocks in a new Snap to Place project. I am not sure if I am setting the source of the sound correctly.

Could anyone give me some tips? Thanks!

The source you’ve set is incomplete. It’s only the prefix of the sound file, not the actual audio data.

Two things that are helpful when asking about APIs:

  1. Provide a link to the relevant section of the documentation.
  2. Include the value of the green response block as text (you can assign it to a text input’s text and then copy and paste it here). It’s best to format it using the </> button in the toolbar above your post. That removes smart quotes and other symbols that can invalidate a JSON response.

For the response block, I am getting an undefined response. (Even after setting the response to the text input’s text block and joined with the source).

this is how I am setting the blocks, would this be correct?

I am getting an error from my live editor.

It’s really hard to know when I can only see part of the blocks and some important API blocks are missing from the screenshot.

Where does the “Something has gone wrong” crash occur? Between which blocks?

I use Eleven Labs API, Thunkable can’t Handle it’s Response, you have to Use Backend integration, I too did so.
