Can I create a text box that users can first type into and then drag to another location on the screen? I cant figure out how to do this. Appreciate the help!

Pretty sure that’s not possible. I really wish there was drag and drop support.

There are ma… ny great uses for detecting a "mouse up" event on a sprite or canvas. For example, board game "pieces" can be dragged to a new position and then snap-to-grid can be coded to force placement of those pieces in certain positions.

An "up" event for mouse clicks/taps in sprites and canvases.
**Describe alternatives you've considered**
I have tried many things but I can't find a workaround.

You can drag & drop sprites but I find the functionality severely limited. And it doesn’t apply to components. So no, not really.
