Bluetooth connect crashes on Android

I was following this tutorial downloaded my app as an .apk and side loaded it, but it crashes on calling Connect to Device Id. The app just restarts. I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy S6 and it’s connecting to a Fitbit Zip. The LightBlue app connects to the Zip just fine.

How can I troubleshoot this further? I’d like to share my app with you but when I do that, the message says my Firebase API key would be visible. How can I show you my app without sharing that?

Is you device called “Zip”?

if so, did you you try using the Connect to Device Name block instead of Device Id?
