GAE2024 stands for Great American Eclipse 2024. That’s the next BIG eclipse traversing West/East across the U.S. on 4/8/2024. We created this app as a follow up to our 2017 Eclipse App for Android. Many, many thanks to Thunkable we were able to update and produce the app for Android and IOS too! We will be using GAE2024 as an app learning opportunity for the youth we mentor. We want to encourage interest in STEM professions, such as astronomy, also to fortify English Competency and Bilingual proficiency. There are 40 words spoken in English and Spanish. This is our MVP (Minimum Viable Product) version, without any “bells & whistles”. We just wanted to get the basic template finished, beta-tested, and to pass App Store’s rigorous, demanding review.
