Bluetooth unable to transfer data

I’m using an arduino and HC-05 module that can connect to my MacBook. However, when I try to use this code to connect to the arduino:

Label15 (As shown) returns |Operation was cancelled
About me (As shown) returns (random number from 1 to 10k)No device is connected.
However, if I disconnect the module, Label15 says that the device (censored Bluetooth device ID) has been disconnected. Can I at least know if there is a fix for this?

are you able to connect to your device using the LightBlue app?

Yup. I tested it on Mac, though.
