# Will there ever be a option to not code with blocks but with text?

I have a very simple question : “Will there ever be a option to not code with blocks but with text in Thunkable X (Cross Platform)?”.  
If yes when is it going to come ?

Hey @nart!

I’m not going to say that we will _never_ do this, but it’s not something that we’re planning on doing and not something that we are currently thinking about doing.

Our mission is to make App development accessible to anyone, and having a simple®, blocks-based programming language is an important part of that.

Hope that makes sense.

Hi Mr @Domhnall,

I am a high school student to try and use thinkable for my school project, however I am not allowed to use block coding, and I was looking and found this post. Since this is 4 years ago, has this been implemented?
