# Why Stack Navigator have padding top?

When I live test the app. Stack Navigator have padding top, but I don’t need. I am wondering if I am missing something. Thanks.

GO in advance setting put padding to zero

This is live test specific. When you download the app, the spacing at the top will account for the status bar. This goes for spacing at the top of the **Top Tab Navigator** and spacing on the bottom of **Bottom Tab Navigator** (for newer devices with gesture bars at the bottom of the screen). If no navigation components are present, there will be a space created automatically, of which it’s background colour will be represented by the screen background colour.
