# Why don't I see a Recognize Speech in With Inputs block?

Hi All, I’m new to thunkable and trying to see why I’m not seeing block with name Recognize Speech with output. I want to take input from speech, convert to text and make a search api call to get the results. Thanks in advance for help!

If you Google _speech Thunkable_, the first result is the documentation which has this info about the recognize speech block:

Hi @tatiang , thanks for quick, one the document I don’t see the option with output like error and response like I see in the picture I posted. I did try the one in document and getting null value into the text filed from speech block that you pointed. Does it take input from audio file or speech?

Try right-clicking on the recognize speech block and choosing show advanced block. I haven’t really used that one much so hopefully that is what you’re needing.
