# Why does live testing on device with the thinkable live app like squish the app vertically

Why does live testing on device with the thinkable live app like squish the app vertically and not take up the whole screen? Is there a way to extend the app to fit the whole screen when live testing? LIke removing the view code and home buttons and that sections?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to remove the bottom bar. If you want to see how it looks on different devices, you follow the steps [here](https://docs.thunkable.com/publishing-apps/publish/generate-screenshots). Although those steps are for generating screenshots, this can also be used to give you an idea of how it will look.

So I need to upload the app to the App Store then I can do this? I want to check it out before I upload it and make sure the components are in the right place for every (or most) devices (Apple and android)

You are able to do it without uploading to the Apple Store. It is all done via publishing as a web app.
Alternatively, you can publish to the App Store and use [Testflight](https://docs.thunkable.com/publishing-apps/publish-to-app-store-ios/testflight-overview).
