I’m really skeptical of these kinds of offers in general. If someone is interested in this sort of agreement, make sure you have a written, signed contract that is very detailed. And unless you want to work for free while you wait to see if the app succeeds, make sure you are being PAID hourly/salary and that that’s spelled out explicitly in the contract.
This idea that apps will make you rich almost never happens. My first app made about $2. It took me 60 hours of work. Perhaps it wasn’t promoted well but even a well-promoted app can fail spectacularly. Just keep in mind that 50% of $2 is not a lot of money.
