# Using map and Location sensor to determine distance

Can you use map to identify the distance of your movement  
For example, when you go run, can it be programmed to show distance you ran?

I think in theory you might be able to do this, however there would be quite a lot of math involved in converting all the coordinates to distances and then summing them all up.

It might just be easier to see if there’s an API that you could use to do this?
