# Transparent image

Is it possible to set an image to transparent? If yes, how do you proceed?

Hey @dosantoss  
You can set the [Image component](https://docs.thunkable.com/image-1#visible) to be visible on the screen or not. Set and get whether the Image component is visible on the screen:

I think they might mean partial transparency (e.g. 50%). You would need to make the modification outside of Thunkable using something like Photoshop.
