# Storing things in cloud won't work unless the code is in the first screen. Please help

When I want to store something in cloud, it only works if I put that code in the first page of my project (the screen you see when you first open the app). However, it stops working when I put it as the second or third screen. I’m making a to-do list kind of app by the way and i’m storing the todo’s in cloud. Please help me. Thanks!

By the cloud I assume you’re referring to Firebase? If so, we need a little more information as well as the blocks if possible.

@samclever - yes I am using the cloud variable which I understand used Firebase.

I would recommend you use the Realtime DB blocks to get and save data to Firebase. The variables have been less than user friendly on X.
