# Store sound recorder multiply screen

I was create app sound recorder. when i start record on screen1 to screen2 and screen3.  
I back to Screen1 sound still here but when i press next screen2 sound record had remove?

How to keep it?

When you use a _stored_ variable, you need to check to see if it has a null value when the screen opens. If it does, set it to a value such as an empty string (“”). Like this:

There’s a note in the documentation that says you should be using stored variables instead of Local Storage. You’re using both in your project. See [Local Storage - Thunkable Docs](https://docs.thunkable.com/v/snap-to-place/local-storage#local-storage-overview).
