# \[Solved\] Text to speech wont turn off

Package an APk yesterday the text to speech wont stop i closed the APP and it still played to the end. reopen the app click stop again still wont stop till reaching the end of what it is reading.

Hi @kizzy - Could you use the back pressed event on the screen to stop the TTS component?

What blocks are you using to try and stop the speech?

As far as I remember, you were building a sort of audio-book app, right?

i did not do anything but it seem to have stooped behaving that way
