# Revolving sprite like around a planet

I am trying to make a sprite revolve around another sprite and was using the angular velocity but its just spinning the sprite around in the same place.

You need to use trigonometry for this. I don’t have a lot of experience with circular motion but if you Google something like _circular motion trig x y_, you should find an equation.

I also just remembered that there was a brilliant developer on another forum that I used to moderate that explained this many times. Here’s one of his posts:

No but that link should give you some ideas of how to set up the math for it. If you get stuck, post a screenshot of your blocks and someone can help you.
