Hi i got this message from google: Hello Google Play Developer, In October, we [announced updates](https://www.google.com/appserve/mkt/p/ABMBUQPgcN-0ge8DfVTf1SDKSUuVpSg4iQIxHljGq7psl4-GrqjQwFpFflKdCxJYCbgHrW5_XgRgwbJFWaz3acfCjwAtRuy-pkDmCIu_sYGexP-_bmknUZJdrhDMNvtkQZxcdHLwx79Z15BwmPXdmXzkjJtjdjA92-2ddllCnGhC) to our Permissions policy that will limit which apps are allowed to request Call Log and SMS permissions. **This policy will impact one or more of your apps.** Only an app that has been selected as a user’s default app for making calls or text messages, or whose core functionality is approved for one of the exception use cases, will be able to request access to Call Log or SMS permissions. **Action required** Below, we’ve listed apps from your catalog which do not meet the requirements for permission requests. **Please remove any disallowed or unused permissions from your app’s manifest** (specified below), migrate to an alternative implementation (e.g. SMS Retriever API for most cases of OTP verification), or evaluate if your app qualifies for an exception. **Next steps** 1. If you have recently submitted a Permissions Declaration Form, we are in the process of reviewing your information and will respond to your application. 1. Long term this won’t be the case, but that’s how it’s setup right now. I think we’ve removed the SMS permission from Thunkable X apps in a recent release, so if you download your apk again, then the SMS permission won’t be there, and this e-mail from Google Play will not affect you. ---

Sorry, that was a bit ambiguous. By “rebuild” I meant you should just build the .apk again (i.e. download you app again!) as opposed to making/rebuilding the whole thing again from scratch. Apologies for the confusion/minor heart attack! 😂 ---

Hi @domhnallohanlon I have received this mail by google and he tell me that i have to “Remove the specified Call or SMS permissions”. If i understand your solution, just re-download on thunkable is ok ? I do change the number version of apk ? Thanks ---

@domhnallohanlon Nothing. So if i understand, just re-download the apk on thunkable and upoad it on googleplay is work to remove permission sms ? I do change the number version of apk ? ---

Yep, that’s why I recommend it. You can increment you version number in your app settings. ---

@domhnallohanlon I have a problem, i have receved an email of google that is say that he have delete my application because the permission call/sms is still on my application, but i don’t understand why because i have re-download on thunkable and re-upload it like you says. Have you any idea ? ---
