# Open Google Maps App from Webview

Hi everyone, I have a common webview running one of my sites. And it has a link that redirects to Google Maps. But it doesn’t open the Google Maps app on Android, on iOS it normally opens Google Maps, how can I open the Google maps app from a WebView with using the link?

hi,@Gustavo_Lima welcome the thunkable forums, Could you please show what have you tried?
if you selected “chrome” and “always” on your android, it will only open chrome. not the app. if the app is uninstalled, it will not open. try changing the settings.
