# Missing options for responsive design

Hi,

I am just starting my journey with Thunkable.

I am having problems finding specific options. For example:

1. I am missing the Default App Layout option in Project Settings
2. I can’t see Sizing options like Flex
3. I can’t see any Advanced Components settings.

etc. etc.

What am I doing wrong here?

Welcome to the land of drag and drop. I’d you want a flex box environment, you need to use the layouts component.

Also, they took away a lot of the advanced feature capability.

So what are actually pros and cons of both solutions?

I prefer the drag and drop builder myself. I use the flex component (currently **still** in beta)

As far as pros and cons, it’s been so long since I used the other I can’t remember.
