# Maths are not working

When I introduce numbers in the text inputs and the variables adquire values, the results of the dependent text inputs are null. How can I solve this?

Do not put a variable inside of the `set stored variable " "` block. That’s for the _name_ of a variable but you’re giving it a variable _value_. Instead, use the `set stored variable debt-uns` block at the **top** of the Variables drawer.
