# Just adding app icon makes bug

I found another strange and incomprehensible bug.
After I added an app icon, app screens are like below
I really cannot understand why just adding icon makes this stupid bug.
I will never use thunkable to release productive app. so many bugs and expensive price.
really sick and tired.

Hi @humaneerpv3voh
The only workaround I have found to make it work today is to create a new copy of your project with the default icon and splash screen.
If the workaround works for you, please share the specific project URL with us so we can create a copy project.
I have flagged it to our engineering team to investigate further and will provide an update as soon as possible.

How can I create a new copy of my project with the default icon and splash screen?
I duplicated the project and app icon and splash screen are not default but same as original project.

Please keep in mind that you may need to do a [hard refresh](https://docs.thunkable.com/getting-started/data-sources/data-sources#hard-refresh-your-browser) of your browser for the changes to take effect in your project. If your [downloaded or published app](https://docs.thunkable.com/publishing-apps/publish) is affected by this bug, you will need to re-download or re-publish your app for these changes to take effect.

Hi, I tested it several devices.
In bluestack simulator and android tablet, bug is fixed.
But In Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy S23(or S24), bug is still existing.
With same apk, but different result in different device.
I think this is not problem of hard refresh.
I need to publish the app by the 28th July.
Could you report this issue to developers again please?

I need to submit my app, developed with Thunkable, to a competition by this Saturday. I honestly don’t understand why assigning an icon to the app causes this kind of bug. If it’s not possible to fix the bug, please at least tell me how to reset the currently assigned icon.
It’s much better to submit the app with the default Thunkable icon than to have the screen appear completely broken and cut off like this. Please, someone help me. I’m truly desperate. I don’t want the three months of time and effort I put into developing this app to go to waste. I’m begging
