# \[IWant\] Allow iOS component names to be renamed

Hi @thunkable,

Unless I’m not seeing it, it appears that component names cannot be changed. Typically, one would want to change (for example) the default name “Button1” to something more descriptive, such as “BtnStart”, “BtnStop”, etc.

This is definitely something we want to enable soon. Actually it’s on our list of issues to fix.

Hello! It’s been a while since this was mentioned. I want to know if you guys are going to push out an update for this anytime soon? I would love to rename stuff on IOS Thunkable. I know that you can rename on the Android side, but not the IOS side.
